The Role
If you were to join us as an Accounts Assistant here is what you want to know.
Location: Derby, Champion House, Wyvern Business Park, Stephensons Way, Derby DE21 6LY
Hours/shift pattern: 37.5 hours, Monday – Friday 9-5pm, the role will include rota-based evening until 8pm & weekend cover (7pm during winter months)
The role will include meeting busy moth end deadlines. It is a fast environment where multi-tasking and attention to detail is a must. The role will mainly support the work in the Customer Operations team ensuring timely allocation of customer funds and support to the stores on payment queries, with essential work on investigating & reporting payments received. The role will also cover work in Vehicle Accounts Payable. Reporting into the Customer Operations Supervisor.
What will you be getting up to?
- Manage the Portal which contains customer refunds and payments
- Manage 3rd party finance request
- Timely and accurate credit of sales order on request
- Liaising with customers and suppliers to resolve any issues
- Site support for customer & supplier refund and invoice queries
- Request of new supplier or updated account details forms
- Accurate posting of vehicle purchase invoices to supplier accounts
- Daily processing of payments for vehicle suppliers, in line with Stock Control request for payment
- Other Ad Hoc tasks as required.
What do we need from you?
- AAT Level 2 minimum is essential
- Previous experience is essential
- Demonstrate behaviours in a style that upholds the Motorpoint Core Values
- Ability to communicate with customers and colleagues in a positive manner
- Well organised, logical approach to workload with the ability to manage several processes and tasks at the same time and prioritise accordingly
- Thorough and consistent with attention to detail and accuracy, follows tasks through to completion
- Open minded, willing to give and receive feedback to improve performance
- Ability to evaluate processes and review to improve efficiency
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent administration skills and problem-solving skills
