The Role: Digital Experience Executive
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum. (Dependent on experience)
Location: This is a remote role, with occasional travel to our sites when needed for collaboration or team activities. (Applicants must have the right to work in the UK as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship).
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday.

What will you be getting up to?
Strategic yet hands-on, with a customer-centric approach. Your decisions will be driven by data and focused on improving discovery, engagement, and conversion across the website.
Own the end-to-end site merchandising and product content experience for motorpoint.co.uk, covering vehicles, car care, finance, reviews, and blog. You’ll curate and optimize category pages, PDPs, and content placement, running data-driven tests to improve KPIs while maintaining brand standards, SEO compliance, and alignment with trading and campaign calendars.
Site & Category Merchandising
You will help shape the merchandising roadmap, define testing priorities, and influence how content and product experiences support the customer journey from discovery to purchase
Curate and update products on homepage, PDP, PLP, search, and landing pages to align with website KPIs
Optimize sort order, filters, and navigation for vehicles
Build and maintain seasonal, promotional, brand and product landing pages
Product Content & Catalogue Quality
Ensure catalogue and category content is accurate and complete: vehicle data and specs, imagery, video
Enforce brand and SEO standards for copy, meta data, and rich media; coordinate with SEO/content team
Trading & Promotions
Partner with Buying and Marketing to plan campaigns and offers
Execute promo mechanics (discounts, badges, limited time offers) and measure performance
Analytics, Testing & Optimisation
Help develop a view of KPIs around search and merchandising; weekly, monthly views that will drive insight and actions
Create and run A/B/n tests on page layouts, sort rules, content blocks and recommendations
Use analytics and insights to identify underperforming areas, propose solutions, and validate improvements through A/B testing and iterative optimisation.
Availability, Price & Compliance
Work with Stock, Buying, Marketing to address stock challenges
Coordinate finance APR messaging, and regulatory disclosures for automotive retail
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Operate as a solo contributor with high visibility and accountability. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally but own decisions and execution within your domain.
Collaborate with Marketing, Engineering, Retail to identify ways to support and inform on BAU activities
Understand user personas and behavioural data to design merchandising strategies that simplify navigation, improve decision-making, and drive trust in the buying process
Feed requirements into dev sprints (catalogue changes, data enrichment, 3rd party integrations) and support UAT.
Competitor & Market Monitoring
Track competitor merchandising across used car retailers, marketplaces.
Present monthly insights and potential new approaches to merchandising.
What do we need from you?
Essential skills:
4+ years in digital/eCommerce merchandising or online trading (retail required; automotive strongly preferred).
Track record of impact on KPIs through category optimization, testing, and content improvements.
Strong analytical skills (turning GA/BI insights into actions); confident with A/B testing.
Comfortable with data rich catalogues, complex attributes
SEO basics for merchandising (taxonomy, internal linking, on‑page elements)
Great understanding of copy and visual standards; able to brief and QA creative and photography
Stakeholder management, prioritization, and calm execution under pressure
At least 1 year experience with discovery & merchandising tools (any): Bloomreach Discovery, Fredhopper, Algolia
At least 1 year experience with A/B Testing (Build, Analysis, Reporting): ABTasty (or similar)
Analytics experience: GA4, Looker
Desirable skills:
Experience with and understanding of automotive data and terminology
Understanding of finance offers, PCP/HP messaging, FCA aligned content
Automotive marketplace knowledge
