The Role: HR Business Partner
Salary: £40,000-£45,000
Location: Our Head Office is located in Derby; however, the role will require travel to our retail locations across the United Kingdom.
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday)

What will you be getting up to?
Reporting to the HR Director, you will play an essential role in championing and cultivating Motorpoint’s commitment culture.
- Work in close partnership with Operations Directors to fully understand the business goals and develop People Strategies that support them.
- Work closely with your People Partner to analyse data, such as engagement surveys, people scorecards and forums to develop people strategies and plans.
- Manage and support the development of your People Partner.
- Develop processes and policies that support The Motorpoint Map to drive a high performance culture.
- Work closely with our employee relations lawyers to provide commercial direction in the resolution of ER cases.
- Provide HR expertise in the areas of engagement, performance management and workforce planning.
- Build effective relationships with key stakeholders such as Operations Directors, Heads of Departments and the People Team.
- Oversee the completion and analysis of engagement surveys, mandatory training and induction programmes.
- Champion and drive ED&I strategies and initiatives and support the creation of an inclusive workplace.
- Manage people data and provide insights to the HR Director.
- Lead initiatives to enhance employee commitment, satisfaction and well-being.
- Lead consultation processes for internal and external projects, such as TUPE and structural changes.
- Champion our employee voice, ensuring that it is heard and valued.
What do we need from you?
- At least 3 year’s previous experience as a HR Business Partner, ideally in FMCG, manufacturing or automotive retail.
- Preferably a CIPD qualification at level 7 or above, however this is not essential.
- Strategic and dynamic in your approach
- A strong track record of improving employee experience and engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Resourceful and capable of finding solutions to challenges independently.
- Calm and effective when handling urgent matters.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook & Powerpoint.
- Confident in navigating HR software.
- Team player, supportive and always willing to assist.
